Hi, I am Gilberto Guereque.

An aspiring Fullstack Engineer/Developer

I'm a former Senior Accountant turned Technical Business Systems Analyst with a background in Accounting (B.Sc.) and Management Information Systems (M.S.) from UNLV. Transitioning into tech, I've carved a niche in Business Intelligence and Data Analysis, complementing it with Project Management and a growing expertise in programming. My technology journey is fueled by a longstanding passion for tech and an eagerness for hands-on coding experience.

Currently, I'm enhancing my skills through the #100Devs Fullstack Web Development Bootcamp, focusing on the MERN stack along with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and SQL. I'm largely self-taught, utilizing platforms like Udemy, Codecademy, FreeCodeCamp, and various official documentations.

I'm on the lookout for roles that allow me to grow as a developer, with a keen interest in Backend Development, particularly in C#/.NET. When not coding, I indulge in music, health/fitness, video games, and movies, with a special love for UFC and the Video Game industry. My world also revolves around Fantasy & Sci-Fi genres.

Martial Arts Gym (In progress)

This project is focused on building a straightforward website for a Martial Arts gym. In which, it displays a Home, Programs, Coaches & Schedule pages.

FetchWeather

The project uses a Weather API to make a GET request for fetching JSON data, showcasing current weather details for specified cities, states, or regions. It presents key information like the city name, current weather conditions, humidity, region, and local time. This functionality demonstrates effective API utilization for dynamic data retrieval and display.

Todo List

This is a Todo list website application built out to allow the user to add, delete, edit, and complete/un-complete tasks as needed. It was built out using HTML, CSS & JavaScript for the Frontend; however, I did connect the application to a MongoDB for the backend which allows for the tasks to be saved regardless if the website is closed.

NutriCalc (In progress)

In this project, motivated by a personal interest in health improvement, I developed a program that interfaces with a Nutrition API.
